Topographic Analysis using the National Elevation Dataset

This site contains topographical research obtained from the analysis of digital data provided by the National Elevation Dataset. Analysis of Summit Steepness for various US states makes up the bulk of the content. This information will be of use for hikers and climbers looking for overlooked, potentially challenging peaks to climb, or areas with rugged terrain to visit.

This site is the result of independent research and is not affiliated with the USGS or supported by public funds. To contact the author, email tworth87 at yahoo dot com .
